Japanese calligraphy experience 0509

We’ve been getting more and more inquiries about calligraphy lessons for tourists recently.

The other day, Claire and Arno from France came to try calligraphy as a final memory on their last day in Japan. ^^

After learning about the eight rules of the character ‘Ei’, they tried writing their names in hiragana and katakana.

After explaining the eight rules of the character ‘Ei’, we practiced brush strokes.

Arno wrote the character ‘Ei’ with great balance right from the first try, and with his unique personality, he was able to write a powerful ‘Ei’.

Claire, who had been struggling a bit, is now very good at hiragana and katakana. ✨

Finally, they wrote the words they wanted to write on their piece.
After discussing it together, they decided to write “safety for my wife.”
As they are such good friends, they worked together to finish the piece, two characters at a time.

They also stamped their own seal at the end, making for a lovely piece of work✨
